Time's up
When Monica first saw a solar eclipse, she was 10 years old. It was almost 1:00 pm, and she was in the park with her parents and her best friend Susy. At first, the girls didn’t pay much attention to it. But then, that circular dark shape made her feel scared. All the people around her were looking up as if they were hypnotized, but she didn’t want to see it. She thought it was a hole in the sky that could take her away from her parents. A few hours later, after the eclipse was over, she still felt nervous and wanted to go back home. From that day on, Monica refused to see a solar eclipse again.
