Talking about time: in, at, on
We can use “in“, “at“, and “on” to talk about time in different contexts.
In
We use “in” with parts of the day:
– in the morning
– in the afternoon
– in the evening
Example: I watch TV in the afternoon.
At
We use “at” to say a specific time when something is happening:
– at four o’clock
Example: I get up at 6:30.
We also use “at” for “night”:
Example: I don’t like to eat heavy meals at night.
On
We use “on” to talk about a specific day:
– on Sundays
– on weekdays
– on the weekend
Example: I have my English class on Saturdays.
