Exercises
Read the text and do the proposed activities.
Exercise is very important for our health. When we exercise, our bodies get stronger and healthier. We can run faster, jump higher, and lift heavier things. Our muscles get bigger and stronger, and our hearts get more efficient at pumping blood. This makes it easier for us to do the things we want to do, like playing with our friends or riding a bike.
Exercise also helps us feel better when we’re feeling sad or stressed. When we exercise, our brains release special chemicals that make us feel happy and relaxed. This is because exercise reduces the amount of stress hormones in our bodies, like cortisol. When we exercise, our bodies release endorphins, which boost our mood and motivate us to be more productive in our daily lives.
Moreover, exercising contributes to maintaining a healthy weight. When we burn more calories than we consume through physical activity, our bodies start to lose excess fat. This can help prevent obesity and many related health issues, such as diabetes and heart disease. By making exercise a regular part of our routine, we can live healthier and longer lives.
Exercise can also make us more confident. When we’re physically fit, we feel proud of ourselves and our abilities. So we’re more likely to try new things and take on new challenges, which might lead us to make better choices and achieve our goals.
